Today at IFC.com, check out the premeire of “Game Gets Old: The Triology” featuring Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings. Directed by our friend Phil di Fiore (who also directed the first season of “Road Trippin’ with Ice Cream Man”), the three part short film is a musical look at the Daptone era. Although it’s all new, it looks straight out of the ’70s, complete with blaxploitation cut-scenes between the musical performances.
It’s a must see for anybody who’s a fan of Sharon Jones or just classic soul music. Beautifully shot and beautifully sounding. Check it out below or at IFC.com:
