Some of the best Orange County food trucks are gathering on Saturday for the first ever OC Foodie Fest at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Ice Cream Man unfortunately can’t make it, but there will be plenty of gourmet treats from trucks like Cool Haus, The Sweets Truck, Get Shaved and Longboard’s Ice Cream as well as food trucks like Taco Dawg, Ludo Truck and Calbi BBQ. The fest will also be showcasing some great bands including Dusty Rhodes & the River Band.
A portion of the event’s proceeds will go back to local nonprofits Child S.H.A.R.E, finding homes for foster children in Orange County, and Pretend City Children’s Museum, the first educational facility of its kind and largest children’s museum in Orange County. Cart for a Cause will also be in attendance with a custom event menu, featuring guest chef Deborah Schneider from SOL Cocina in Newport Beach guest chef from a well-known local OC eatery, with sale proceeds benefiting St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, delivering daily life-saving meals and warm greetings to homebound and hungry seniors and disabled or seriously ill adults.
The fest takes place August 28 from 11am to 7pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under and free for children three and under. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $15.
