Arise, Angelinos! No longer must you wait anxiously for Sunset Junction (August) to get your easy Eastside toes tapping. The Echo & Echoplex will host a slew of emerging local, national, and international acts for Echo Park’s Waved Out music festival. Not to be confused with the German Gothic music festival, this one-day event was named after a Robert Pollard solo album.

The all ages affair will be an Aquarium Drunkard and KXLU first. Held on March 27th, the day will commence at 3:30p and go until 2am. This fest is not only local with free ice cream present, it’s a mere $10.

If the price isn’t alluring enough, the lineup should be. The festival’s soundtrack will boast Surfer Blood, Best Coast, Turbo Fruits, The Sandwitches, Dirt Dress, The Coathangers, Active Child, Po Po, Moon Duo, Gamble House, Ice Cream Man (of course), and three more special guests to be announced over the next two weeks. If you’ve gotten to this point of the article without buying a ticket, I suggest you do so now.

Be sure to enter the festival at the following address: The Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026
