Hot Chip is kicking off 2009 with a limited edition EP on January 27th.
The boys are kindly allowing fans to download two of the four songs from the release at HotChip.co.uk. The EP will feature avant-jazz pioneer Robert Wyatt and former Elysian Quartet members, Emma and Vince (operating under the new moniker, Geese), to remix tracks from Made In The Dark.
Robert Wyatt distills the essence of songs like “Made In The Dark” and lends his own solitary voice to “Whistle For Will”, casting a new interpretative light on the tracks, while Geese collaborate with Wyatt on “We’re Looking for a Lot of Love”. Geese also forge their own quiet, poignant take on the original techno track, “One Pure Thought”.
