Usually when leaving a festival, one must wait for what next year’s edition will have in store. With All Tomorrow’s Parties New York 2009, you don’t have to. A mere three months after this year’s event, ATP has announced date changes and the lineups for the first two days of its 2009 three day extravaganza in New York – and Ice Cream Man can hardly wait.

Dates have been changed to Friday, September 11th through Sunday, September 13th, 2009. However, per usual, the event will be held at Kutschers Country Club in Monticello, NY.

The first day will host comedy curated by David Cross and Don’t Look Back sets from Suicide, to showcase their self-titled LP, and Dirty Three will perform their Ocean Songs album.

As for Saturday, All Tomorrow’s Parties wrangled Animal Collective, Panda Bear, Deerhunter side project Atlas Sound, and herald the return of indie-head-turning-hip-hoppers Anti-Pop Consortium.

Also, the festival boasts cinematic additions curated by Criterion.

To keep you on the edge of your seat, the curator and lineup for the final day is yet to be confirmed. However, about 35 bands will play during that weekend, with DJ sets late into the evening and dining, bars, and other perks available.

Because the acts that have been revealed are convincing enough, tickets are already available – $235 gets you access to all three days of the festival, including all of the amenities available.

So get on it early and join Ice Cream Man at one of the best events next year.
