Moving Units – Dead 60s – The Avalon

I have seen the Moving Units three times now, and sadly this show was not their best. The new songs that the band played were a bit sub par compared from songs off of their first album dangerous dreams. They seemed to have a bit more substance but lacking in the dance department. In retrospect that seems a bit harsh, I went to this show expecting a dance party; however it seems to be that the Moving Units are evolving. Evolving musically and possibly with more members. I am not certain if they added a new band member or just having someone help live with the new songs. I am also not exactly sure if Blake (the singer) is starting a new project. After all that was said I am still a fan of the Moving Units, and I am excited to see what they come up with next.

The Dead 60s opened for M U, Ive heard of them but not of their music. They have that British reggae type of sound. A lot like the clash, but a bit more dance-y.
