Wakarusa began in Lawrence, KS in 2004. It has continued to grow every year and in 2010 moved to a new, spacious home in Ozark, AR.
We first started slinging at Wakarusa in 2006, in the festival’s third year. Since then, we’ve kept coming back for more. Due to logistics we weren’t able to make it in 2009, but came back strong in 2010.
The festival began as a jam band fest featuring acts such as OAR, Robert Randolph and Galactic, but has since grown into an eclectic show with artists ranging from The Black Keys to Fishbone although they still keep their roots strong with a plethora of jammy stuff in the mix.
