Lollapalooza

Ah, the grandaddy of all modern music festivals, Lollapalooza first hit it big as a travelling show in 1991 with founder Perry Farrell’s Jane’s Addiction, Nine Inch Nails and more, before petering out in the late ’90s. The festival returned in 2003 and then abandoned the touring idea and settled on Chicago’s Grant Park as the permanent home in 2005.

Ice Cream Man paired up with Lollapalooza in 2006, one of the first major festivals that gained us national exposure. We’d stuck it out ever since, loving Chicago and Grant Park, and of course the music.
