Charles Bradley finishes off Summer Jammin’ in San Fran

Sunday at Outside Lands kicked off with Charles Bradley and the Menahan Street Band playing the main stage in Golden Gate Park.  I’m always in favor of Soul music starting off the last day of a festival and I was mesmerized as I stood on the grass and listened to Charles wail.  Usually we’re wrapped up with filming by Sunday but we made an exception when we found out Charles would sing a song for us for Spotify Goes Summer Jammin’ with Ice Cream Man.  Check out “Heartaches and Pain” over at Pitchfork.tv or below

Charles and the band will be around the West Coast the next month playing Sunset Junction, Bumbershoot, MFNW and many other shows then in October he’ll be heading to Europe for a run.  Here are his tour dates. I highly recommend you check him out if you get a chance.  You should also check out his latest record No Time for Dreaming on Daptone/Dunham records.  Here’s the link to rock it on Spotify
