Zero 7 at House of Blues San Diego

Zero 7 sold out. Well, they sold out the House of Blues in the heart of downtown San Diego. The last tour stop for English electronica band was flooded with 21+ couples with extremely expensive and tiny plastic cups of mixed drinks. The balconies were full with talkative San Diegans that definitely tuned out a few mellow songs by the band with tipsy conversations.

The group had seven people on stage, unlike the common photos online of only three members. My conclusion has to be: the band has zero to seven members at a time, all the time. The stage lights made it near impossible for us photographers to get a decent photo but definitely made it a beautiful show. The UFO type of stage lights that seemed to change colors and movements every time the drummer hit his drums at any combo. The light show provided a spectacular visual even at times when the lights shut off and the whole venue went black. The intensity of the seven member sounds rewarded the audience and band members to a constant state of groove.
