KCRW not only plays great music and throws amazing parties, they also have some of the most creative supporters in Los Angeles. On Halloween night, KCRW took over the legendary Park Plaza hotel filling the place with music, fun and amazing costumes.

As a photographer, it was hard for me to decide what costumes to shoot, because there were SO many great ones. It was photo opp overload! Once I’d snap a photo, I couldn’t stop. Everywhere I turned was another great costume.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros was the biggest highlight for me, their live energy was infectious and the crowd feasted on it. Sea Wolf sounded amazing too. I haven’t heard much of their new album, but its ranked high on my wish list now. I had only heard of Little Dragon, but their music was interesting. I’m definitely going to have to grab that album too. I didn’t stay through much of DJ Shadow’s set as I was quickly shoo’d away by his ego and management team.

Anyone that has been to one of KCRW’s events at the Park Plaza will most likely be attending their future events their. Anyone that has yet too would be wise to snatch up a ticket whenever they announce another date their, which in my opinion, can’t come soon enough.
