Bonnaroo Sneak Peek

Sorry for the lack of content over the last handful of days. Knife and I picked up a bunch of ice cream all over Nashville on Thursday then drove to Bonnaroo. We had the best possible backstage parking spot for Bessie and spent three days dishing out over 2500 treats to everyone who made the festival possible. We’ve got over 1000 pics to post and if we’re lucky we’ll have em all up on Friday.

Bonnaroo is the biggest and best festival in the country. Radiohead headlined on Saturday and captivated the crowd of over 70,000 people. Their two-and-a-half hour set was all over the place and featured at least four or five new tracks and a great mix of classics and surprises. I only got to catch a handful of bands because I was working the truck most of the time. The one’s I did catch (My Morning Jacket, Avett Brothers, Dios, ++) were all spectacular though. MMJ ended up playing for over three hours till the weee hours of the morning.

The weekend was one that the ice cream crew and I will never forget. Must of us camped last night then skipped town this morn. Timothy and I started heading north and made it to just outside of Santa Claus, Indiana. Tomorrow will probably be the best day of my life. We’re heading to Holiday World to ride the brand new wooden coaster they just built that should be the best in the world. Then, after that we’re booking it to Chicago to catch Radiohead again. Yes..I do know life is good. We’ll see what kind of pics and video we can round up tomorrow.

HUGE thanks to Guitar Center for buying all the ice cream for us to give away. Gigantic thanks also goes out to all the ice cream crew and the great people who put on Bonnaroo. We were well taken care of and we’ll have the review up soon to prove it. We’re also planning on slinging a bunch of cream this weekend in Chicago for VICE/Intonation Festival. Stay tuned….
